hey apopsis, looking forward to this one.. any sneak previews like i've been doing?

Here is a preview of the skin, simple design, no buttons but 2 display showing everything happens to the program, (from loops to eq's and beatlock) by using keyboard-external controllers-Timecode.
In this example you can see player 1 with 4 cue points play a 16 bar loop, master tempo and timecode enable on both decks and sample #8 is playing.

Here is the included description:

- More space for the music and browser than any other skin (until now...)
- Designed for users with ext controllers (keyboard shortcuts, midi, Timecode)
- No buttons, no sliders only displays full of informations :12 Samples - Aythor-Title-Comment-Timecode-Master Tempo-Bpm-Pitch-4 cues per deck +++full mixer (volume-gain-3bandEQ+ fader Eq's+kill switches +3 effects per deck+master+crossfader)
Loops from 1/8 to 128 beats, and A-B displayed...
- Colour coded (easy to read) fonts
- No pannels, 5 colour variations.

*Hidden features: click on the big timers for play/stop, Beatlock ON indicator is a small star in the right corner of the display)

I'm currently working on your skin I hope you don't mind Apopsis.

Things i've changed are the player layout the fonts on the players were way to small I also increased the font size in the record case. And I made some space under the players to make room for cues and looping.

I can't see the difference from the photo except the empty room under the players.
I made the skin without "set" or "go" to cue, and loops buttons, i have a keyboard full of shortcuts for this. The only i needed was a quick and easy way to view the status every time, thats why i made the LCD displays...
You can make your version, just refer to the original skin and poster if you post it.
In the meantime i also made some small changes, updated once and will update it again now.

The main difference in mine vs yours is the player track title layout

artist - title I agree the set and go to is redundant I'll email you my version

I see, you put artist-title at the same line, but there is no room for "comment" now
Also by doing this, more scrooling for big names is needed.
Just my thought.

I'm currently fixing this the plan is to get rid of the mixer section and make the players bigger, I tried to emal you the skin but it bounced have no clue why.

i download the file but i can't open it.

i would like to use the skin but i am unable to open or apply it to vdj

To Cyder: I made the background without the mixer/eq in the middle for you, and i will send it to you to make the changes in the xml.
I dont find it a good idea personally because i need the eq.
But this can be a "lighter" version.

To gvmusic : What is the problem ? did you download the zip file, someone reported the file downloaded
without the zip extension, no problem for others, but check the .zip extension.

I've just finished the revamp of Apopsis' TC Power skin to 1280x800.

Apopsis - I sent you an email with the zip for you to take a look at if you want to comment before I post it up to the SKIN dwnld area.

In the meantime, all you 1280 users and anyone else, if want a copy - just shoot me an email (found in my BLOG).

There are a lot of cleanups I plan to do...
cut the BMP file down in file size by removing all unecessary graphics
make a version without the H,M,L crossfaders in the center
JUST a few ideas now...
If you have others please let me know.

Wow I was having a real tough time making the skin work without the middle section. My email is djcyder (at) insightbb.com

I've read both, but its 4 in the morning now... tomorrow ..

i just click on download and cant open file, it doesn't look like a zip file

But it is, try to add the .zip extension by hand, what browser do you have ? (its working well for me, winxp, sp1 IE6.0X) do you use any download manager ? other skins ? are they working ?
Do you have the file extensions to be hidden ? (tools->folder options->....)
