I long for the video effects and text capabilities of the Windows VDJ. So I set up a boot camp install with windows xp. No matter what i do the video freezes cold after the first mix. Tired new drivers for the video. Played with the video settings.
Sound works with DJio... but I can use my Presouns Firebox for audio.
My Mac is a Jan 2008 using Snow Leopard 10.6.1 with 4 GB 67 Mz DDR2 SDRAM, video is GeoForce 8600M GT with 256 MB VRAM
Has any one figured out how to make the VDJ 6 work in the XP Boot Camp environment. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
yep. Did that I may try a reinstall. Also, I may try the removal of boot camp and another reinstall of xp. -- However, you've got me thinking I ought to spring for Windows 7 and give it a try. What Video Card does your mac have? My MBP has NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT:
Chipset Model: GeForce 8600M GT Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 256 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0407 Revision ID: 0x00a1 ROM Revision: 3175 Displays: Color LCD: Resolution: 1440 x 900 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Built-In: Yes
Updated the Windows VDJ software to 6.03. Same problems. Think this whole thing is related to Geforce 8000 M GT graphics chip. Maybe next step is to spring for Windows 7
i have almost exactly same specs (xp via bootcamp 3.0) and videos run fine! try downloading K-lite codec package and install it (choose lots of stuff without player). also get into task manager and kill a process called bootcamp.exe
