Hi Everyone, I've seen all these postings about video freezes on VDJ with MAC OSX. My problem is not with loading video clips, its with loading audio tracks. When I drag and drop a track there is a 2 second delay before the track gets loaded. Has anyone addressed this? I'm running a macbook pro, with 4 gigs of RAM and Mac OSX 10.5.8. FYI, I've used VDJ for a 4 years now and both on windows and MAC (mac for the last 2) and its always happen to me on the mac platform and not the windows platform Thanks in advanced, Al DJ OnTheBeat All |

i've noticed that if you are switching songs really fast to do say a beat juggle n scratch. it's anoyying but let the one song load fully say if it's under ten mins. n then drag n drop on the other. an older ver 5.2 if u didn't do this it would lock up the program on me. n i think the same issue is lying underneath but doesn't lock the program up. almost like a hiccup it seems going on. |

I had make a new install and copy the VDJ folder from my old Macbook into my brandnew Macbook Pro... Now if i would play a (new) song, or i search in my folder, than freece the skin too. If I had play this song and play it too after a few minutes, than don´t freece the skin! - first playing song freece the skin and after than no freece. Whats the Problem? |

I think it is internal interface of the graphic card. Perhaps there are different pathways and apple uses the fast and the slow vdj |

Sorry for the late reply....;-). I've tried the suggestions but they dont work. The only thing that has help ( a little bit) is speed up the codec to 1 MS. But I need to take care of this latency issue. HHEEELLPPP!!! Thanks again in advance. Dj OnTheBeat Al |

had same issue on new MPB 13 inch, had it 2 months.... try this, put your original hard drive in and see how it works, I had SAME exact issue and found it to be the macbook pro is not compatabile with WD500 Scorpio Blue drives. Google your model number hard drive and macbook pro and see what comes up, i got mine from Best Buy, had these issues while the OEM hard drive was fine, got to googling, then exchanged the HDD at BB for a Seagate Monumentus. If memory serves I actually posted about it on the forum about 2 months ago. Good luck, pretty sure this is the issue though. Steve |

in short, basically that HDD has its own shock guard and head parking, Mac OSX has its own as well and the two don't play well. There is a command that you can run in OSX terminal to disable to head parking but you gotta realize this is not good (arguable i guess)...when this patch was applied it did make the issue go away for me, but decided i wanted to still get a new drive. Best Buy was good like that and exchanged it on the spot even with the data on the old drive. |
