Sujet Drag an MP3 and the wave doesn't show in the Deck

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I dragged a song into my Deck and the wave doesn't show. But the song is there and while it plays, the wave start to appear.
This is the first time I see this issue. Any suggestions how to fix this?
Is kinda scary when you are DJing and suddenly you can't tell if the song is uploaded or not. Not the best time to troubleshoot in the middle of a gig.

Help please !

My brothers DJ from the World !!!

First of all, thank you very much for your help. I found a solution to my "invisible" tune in the deck. Goto to the browser panel in the lower middle section of VDJ and right click the song. In the Pop-Up Window, select BPM, then Re-Analyze. That fix the "Wave Form" in the deck. I found that this happening in the songs you download from Amazon. The Deck doesn't show the Wave Form but the song is in the background.
Hope this helps and thanks a lot for your replies.
Peace, Love, Health, and Great Music Always !!!

By the way, the song I was trying to play was 4 min long. I tried with other tunes downloaded from Amazon and the same thing happened.
The fix I explained above works great !!!

There are other users that did reporte the same for Amazon tracks.
Never happened before and it is not with every track. But started ~ 1 year ago.

This may be because the song is VBR (Variable Bit Rate) and you have never loaded/played it before in v8. The length for these files may be incorrect until the song has analysed in full by VirtualDJ as explained in the above link.

To avoid this, pre-analysing your music collection is strongly recommended.

Amigos:

Thanks again for your comments and suggestions. I am pre-analyzing my songs just to make sure and as of today, everything looks fine.
I am observing the same problem with all the songs I'm downloading from Amazon, the past three weeks.
Have a wonderful weekend and many gigs !

Amazon MP3 is VBR in most cases, so needs to pre-analysed to avoid this issue.

If you download a song on the fly while at a gig, you can simply right-click on it in VirtualDJ's browser and choose the option to analyse it. Once it has been analysed, you can then load it on a deck to play it.
