Sujet BPM issue

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Bit confused here..
I recorded 5 or 6 tracks yesterday for a mix all the tracks were 120 - 125 ish bpm's but when I put the completed recording onto a deck it states the bpm is 60.90 ??

I've re-analysed it but still the same result.

What's even stranger is that when I mix it in it to another mix which is set at 118 bpm it blends perfectly (with a bit of pitch tweeking that is !)

Anyone got any ideas on this?

After much studying
60*2 = 120

Sometimes bpm analysis gets it wrong most often 200% or 50% wrong.

Hi Loco

take your point but not sure if this is the case here, I've never had this happen before, I've completed the mix parts now and put them all together and the BPM is showing as Correct 121.80 for the whole mix.

I just don't understand why one segment 'shows' as 60.90 when it clearly isn't. I analysed this bit as well in a mastering program and that showed the true bpm

odd but not a major issue unless it happens again that is !!

Dubsteppers, d&b-ers and (like myself +200bpm) breakcore-ers are pretty used to having to *2|*0.5 bpms
(so much so that I have keyboard shortcuts (set_bpm 200%) )

I'd guess that the bpm detection goes on intensity for duration, so occasionally even constant bpm mix recordings will be 50% out
