maybe it has been asked before
in vdj 8 what files do i have to backup / copy to my backup laptop which is running the same configuration .
in vdj 7 i backed up ( and - or transfered to the other backup drive or laptop ) the database files on the c drive ( main laptop) and any other database files on the external drive i am using.
i also copied the vdj folder which included the tracklisting and mappers and playlists , to the backup laptop
i have vdj 7 & 8 installed on my both laptops.
are all the files in the vdj folder necessary ? can i copy all the folder and paste it to the backup laptop ?
is there something else i need ?

Documents\VirtualDj is the only folder you need to copy over.
Just remember that if you use the "special" "Music" folder on Windows to store your files you also need to have the same username on both systems as it's part of the folder path:
C:\Users\username\Music
