Keep in mind that for larger venues needing a bigger screen I use the rear projection method which seems to require less lumen.

Not bad except its not a short throw.
I do have an Epson that I use for home use and its not bad but does have a tendency to get hot.
If that's all you need then grab but I strongly encourage you to look for a short throw.

Are you using it for music videos and karaoke, or monograms and logos?
For monograms & logos, it'll be fine since you don't need a short throw. It has enough lumens and contrast ratio to give you a bright projection on a wall or dance floor even during daylight.
For music videos or karaoke, you'll need to keep it kind of far back from the front of a screen for it to show everything. If distance doesn't matter and you can live with it being in front, then it'll be fine.
