Shouldn't be any problem. USB 3 is backward compatible with USB 1 and 2

If you plug a new macbook pro into a Denon MC6000 MK2 via USB-C, will you still need to plug the macbook's power supply in to power the computer? I think the USB-C is power as well?

USB-C (is not a new type of USB) is just a new connector that plugs in no matter which way it is rotated. USB always had power in the line.

Controllers that you have to plug in with their own socket anyway could be made to deliver power back to the pc if it supports usb power delivery, but as far as i know there are no controllers that do so yet.
