Hi all.
Setting up my new Denon DN HC4500.
I saw a YouTube video somewhere where the title and artist was scrolling back and forth like the skins do. What's the code to do this?
At present the text is centred and the first few letters and last few letters are missing making it difficult to read. Even if I could align it left so I can read the beginning of the title and artist, not the middle.

Like this. He says VDJ... So there must be a way of doing it. Starting to think a way of alignment to the left would be easier as you don't have to wait to see the beginning of the title.

Are the actions assigned to the TEXT 1/2 keys still the default get display 1/2 ?
Can you provide a pic or video showing the problem ?
Did you buy a used unit ?
any chance those LCD digits are faulty ?

I am currently using the default mapper. Unit is used but short titles and artists display fine... It's the long ones that seem to displaying a centred text.

Back then, he was most likely using one of the user uploaded mappers. There were at least three.
The jpboggis one definitely had scrolling because jp himself mentions it in a thread here.

Nope..
And I first used the default mapper... Then tried the three online in case the guy on the YouTube video was using one of those.
About to start mapping now.. *cries for help*

You'll note that the video shows data every time the text moves one letter.

I wonder if it's anything to do with the HC4500 firmware. What's your unit running?
I've got a HC4500 I could dig out if necessary.

More testing has shown text scrolls fine in V7.. Not in V8. 2 for some reason... Could you please check yours?
Think I found a bug already in V8... And I haven't even gone live with it.
Firmware is 1.6 from memory... Same as the denon DJ website.
