Hi!
I tried to start up my RMX2 hercules controller on Sunday and it did not come on. i am still using Virtual 7 because the files I downloaded for Virtual 8 would not install on my HP laptop. I switched my power sources for the controller and even used a different USB cable to connect to my laptop but still nothing. I've never had this problem before and would like to know if this might be a problem I can solve on my own before I take it to a technician who might have to open the controller up! (cringe)

You can verify if your Rmx2 is properly installed as indicated in the following document:

If it seems correctly enumerated in Device Manager and you can access the control panel, then the problem could be with VDJ.
