You might check to see what you have running on the laptop in the background. Look beside your clock icon in the tray and see how many other icons you have beside it. Try shutting down everything but systray and explorer in the task manager (ctrl-alt-del) one time. and end task on anything other than the programs stated above. Hope this helps.

Hi

25g of music on a 30gb hard drive doesnt leave much room for your o/s and any other programs !!

It may be your swap files are fragmented all across the drive.

Please post more info about your system

o/s,ram etc and how much free space is available on the drive?

STU

GO TO SYSTEMS AND CHECK YOUR HARDRIVE SPACE AND MEMORY RAM , I RECOMMEND A RAM GREATER THAN 128 MB AND AT LEAST 50 PERCENT OF DISC SPACE TO RUN THE ATOMIXMP3 WITH ANY PROBLEMS, BUT LIKE THE GUYS SAID EARLIER, WHAT'S YOUR LABTOP RUNNING????? MORE SPECS......
THANKS DJ ONE PAK
