Forum: PC Version Technical Support - Topic: VDJ-3.4.1 silently crashed on scan to poulate the track db

I'm using VirtualDJ V 3.4.1-DJ-Console in combination with a Hercules MKII. Hardware-interaction is working fine as well as playback is. I use VDJ on an Asus W5F laptop (Core Duo, WinXP pro).

But there's been a major problem since I cannot use the track database. Anytime I try to inititialize it (aka scan for mp3 files) VDJ just silently crashes before it even seems to start scanning the selected volume. How can I debug this any further?

It's a corrupted file. Try to scan folder by folder until you find it

I don't think so as it crashes after about 1 sec regardless of which drive I select (even the empty dvd-rom crashes Virtual DJ). It' on the initial scan to fill the Database, so one can oly select whole partitions/drives there. I have no idea how I could go folder by folder there. At least I can perfectly reproduce the Problem, as it happens everytime.
