Haven't come across th Z03. From the info I suspect that a lock of control (no adjustment) would be an issue for pro use.
The Aphex is so well known because it has been around for a very long time and is widely used by recording studios and sound Engineers for doing what it does best. The original Aphex units were so expensive that Studios used to rent them. Now they are just a must have Sound Eng tool and have become affordable. Many units claim to do the same as the Aphex. They don't ! Purely because the Aphex Aural Exciter is still covered by some heavy duty Patents. That is not to say other gear cannot make a contribution. Just that they do not work the same way.
