- Sujet using sliders or knobs makes the sound go bad - |

Every time when i have a song playing and i use a know or slider, the sound gets distortion in the bass end.
It doesn't matter if i use a EQ knob for the left channel while only the right channel is playing, it always gives distortion. Tried changing all the quality settings and so like discribed in other calls for help. For small room this is fine, but in a club this gives a problem...
The distortion is present in both the internal HD audio from the laptop as in the External USB creative 5.1 sound card. (at the same time!) This makes me think it is a software related issue.
Help, please!
My laptop is a new Asus X50RL with Vista home premium. it is only used for djing. Should be more than powerfull enough for the vdj application. |

Try untick the safe mode n set auto on latency;)
Also set performances to fastest. |

I have the same problem too. I've played with the setings but it won't go. I've got a Pentium 4 @ 3Gh and 512 RAM. I've got this problem since v5.1 of VDJ. Any other sugestion? |

I did a memory upgrade to 2GB and everything works fine on my lowly 1.6GB centrino ;) |

I have 2 gigs of ram and changing the latency or any other settings don't affect the blobby sound. Also checked the cpu load all the time, and keep more than 60% cpu power available.
(Am very much thinking on buying two Denon 5500's and a behringer mixer and keep the virtualdj laptop for special effects and recording my set.) |

just a side note if your using midi
some midi controlers do give some rumble (em interferance) when there changed, try moving the controller further away from your comp / audio line, this made a Sizable difference when i was using my micro'Korg |

How do you do this? In VDJ go to Config>Performance and untick safe mode, and there are slider, put it on fastest (most to the left). If you set "auto" that slider has no effect ;) |

So the possibility to have those setup mentioned above is unavailable. Maybe there are ways that I may not know. |

You might be correct, I was talking about Pro version, I don't use Home edition. |
