Sujet AMD Ryzen processor and VDJ stuttering problem - Page: 1
TVD UKPRO InfinityMember since 2007
I am aware that some issue has been recognised with AMD and stuttering problems, however i just can't get this issue on Rekordbox, but always get it on VDJ. I have several colleagues with same processor all on Rekordbox and same have no issues. Are VDJ aware of issue?

I am following this post for answers, because I have exactly the same problem

and the latency?

yes have tried latency at different levels currently on 256. I am confinced this is some conflict with chip and vdj, just look on facebook groups or google it, vdj users having the issue, none appear to have it with other software, Rekordbox for one.

Which controller or audio interface are you using?

There are no known problems specific to AMD processors.

DDJ-1000 controller-vdj (latest update) tried on win 11 and win 10 . If no problems, why are so many having the issue? AMD have known issues, with fTPM Enabled , but the weird thing is nobody seems to get this stutter/pause on Rekordbox, all reports are using VDJ that i have seen?

No idea who these 'so many' are, yours is the first post i see on the forum about problems with AMD processors.

No problems personally either with AMD Ryzen 5 here.

Did you try if changing the latency to 512 makes a difference?
Did you try LatencyMon to see if it's a specific driver perhaps causing issues?

Yes I have gone higher than 512 latency too.

Since you compared to RekordBox, did you try to set mathEngine to disabled?

Also, which exact CPU model do you have?

Processor
1x AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800H Processor(Ryzen™ 7 5800H)
Memory
1x 16GB DDR4 3200
all music on internal Evo m.2 drive
Legion 5-15ACH6H Type 82JU
No not disabled math engine but surely this spec machine should handle that?

It should be, but it will be easier to find the problem by eliminating it as the cause of the issue.

The laptop uses the AMD's integrated graphics?
