Company were "looking in to it" September last year but still absolutely nothing. Same for Apple Music.

There have been several posts asking the same thing but all ignored.

@kradcliffe you know that this question was answered on another post so you shouldn't make it sound like they never answered as that isn't being honest.

The summary of the answer (to OP), Atomix has done the work on their side, Spotify and Apple Music have to approve it for access on their end but they are they ones moving slowly, for reasons unknown.

At this point, there might actually be more value in VDJ users sending consistent emails to these providers to make them know of how large we are as a community and why the disallowance is affecting us.

Yes I'm aware of that post around the same time from Stephane which was buried in a longer thread so many may not have seen it at all. But the point still stands that there have been no updates with any fresh information.

Thats 7 months now.

Obviously companies like Spotify and Apple won't respond to individual enquiries so we have to rely on Atomix for any updates.

Personally I've settled on Tidal now however having a greater range of supported streaming services is a competitive advantage.

What updates are you expecting? If Spotify and Apple are doing nothing, what is there to say?

Update #1 we're still waiting
Update #2 we're still waiting

🤷‍♂️

This is kind of why the situation is where it is in the first place. The actual problem is the two companies mentioned, but because they are "big" the thought is they are too big to care, so go after the side that actually isn't the problem (Atomix). While yes, they would consider companies they deal with in preference, companies also consider numbers too - it's probably one of the factors in their consideration of certain platforms over others. Atomix would not want to drag this out because it's obviously not in their favor, and they did make a (informal) statement on what's happening in discussions - what good would saying the same update do? That's why I suggested direct consumer input through the best channels you can find.

Besides that though, outside of an actual release of support statement, I'm not really sure what else is reasonable for them to do - Spotify and Apple Music aren't really the focus of the software, they are just other sources of music, and Atomix does provide provide many alternatives, it's just they aren't "as popular" or "the same as DJ platform X".
