Sujet: Batch Tagging Software for Virtual DJ

This might be a bit of a cheeky request, but how would the people a Atomix (or any other programming wizard) feel about making a tagging tool for the wirtual dj database.

version 5 has all these new features in the browser with reading id3 tags for mp3's which is great but its a bit of a pain in the bum having to tag all my vids and karaoke files. maybe some one can help, maybe people could post features they would like to see.

i will start the ball rolling by requesting that it has atleast batch tagging for the fields that vdj accomodates.

I would like to see one to. A lot of my files have bad genre info. This would help with the
new version 5 feature. I am so happy to see full compatibility with ID3 tags , this is something
we need from V2.0 and up.

Use some of the existing mp3 batch editors such as mp3tag for stuff like Genre fixing.. but for vid & karoke.. a batch editor is probably needed if such a solution does not already exist.
 
I use Tag&Rename but I still would like to see a tool in vdj to. It could only make vdj better.
 
I currently use tag & rename and it works great. One thing to think about when asking for a tool such as this is it just one more thing to complicate the program. I personally use it for DJ and VJ and it works great for that and I am happy. While I admit that getting your database and tags in order has been a task, the end result is worth it.

Every gig with VDJ 5 has gone excellent and no problems. Except it did lock up the last song of the evening tonight. More my fault, I was trying to do to much with the visuals at one time.

The mass ID3Tag editing should stay external to the application. It is not a IDTag editor as it does not write ID3Tags.

Now as for a VDJ Database Management tool to tweak the database that I can see. But again an external tool.
 
thats what i was after cstoll i dont want it integrated into vdj but as a separate tool that can handle the vdj .xml datbase and also do batch tagging. do you think that this kind of software could be possible?????
 
It could be possible - but as your first post asked -- it would have to be built.
 
so the question still stands as the first post states.

is there anyone out there up to the chalenge it would be greatly appreciated.
