Sujet: There are currently 901 users?

This has been consistently displayed for several days now:

"There are currently 901 users and…"

The number of users has not changed. Has anyone else noticed this?

My guess is they have a session table with timestamps that they count recent activity on. Since the last DB crash , something is not updating correctly. The last DB crash was a few days ago, I remember - cuz the forums were down. Which is disapointing to see MySQL go down, I've used it at my companies heavily and it is very stable when running on Linux but there is that rare case when it crashes. Also, if the server hardware is not up to task, even the most stable software is bound to crash.
 
There are [still] currently 901 users....
