Sujet: VDJ crash when scan disc for MP3s

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I have a problem. Today i purchase VDJ, but when i clicked button to scan my disc for mp3s, VDJ crashed. This is happening all the time i click there!
I tryed reinstall VDJ (completely removed and install it again), but it do the same.

what's wrong?
I need VDJ works on saturday!

VDJ is probably coming across a file that it doesn't like for some reason.
scan 1 drive at a time until you can isolate where the problem file is.
 
what exactly i have to do? When i scan CD, there is no problems. But when i try to scan hard disc, doesn't matter which folder, it crash!

How can i know why and what for?

I tryed to install VDJ to another computer. And it works! So what is wrong with my laptop? Previuos (cracked) version worked fine on laptop. I delited it because i bought the program.
 
is there any log what the program search actually?
 
as you said, it works fine on another computer!

if you can, erase your HDD and install everything again. If you can't, try uninstalling VDJ then deleting all VDJ keys in registry (regedit) and then install it again and it might work. I had problems like this when i got vdj after my cracked version. I deleted two keys in the registry and then it worked fine.
 
Keep your music files on a seperate drive from your system and os files.

Then scan only the drive that contains your music files.

i found it! in folder C:\Windows\Prefetch. Here i erased 2 files and some mp3s which i found that they are damaged.

Now it works!
