Sujet Crashing Video on a Mac

OK, so I just started to jump into some video mixing on my Macbook Pro (Settings below.) I purchased the mac for the hopes of better stability overall, which I have gotten, and eventual hopes of moving to some video clips. Video never worked well on my PC. At any rate, so far I haven't had much success in getting VDJ to stabilize when running video. I believe I am running VDJ Pro 5.2.1, on the machine below:

Macbook Pro 15.4"
2.4 ghz processor
2GB Ram

Any settings that I need to change in either VDJ or within the Mac OS itself? After Cue crashes from the video playing, it throws a Mac OSx error. Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction here. I have been running mostly AVI files to date...

Apparently it crashed in a video plugin during a OpenGL process. I will have a look more tomorrow.

[EDIT] fyi, the video plugin is "SlideShow.bundle"

Slideshow.bundle, is that something that I should take a look at or change?

Ideally, I want to give things a shot this Saturday night in the bar, so any feedback you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

About your crash, your video card didn't support the need of the video process. Maybe try to expand the amount of memory allocated to video memory or load smaller picture in the SlideShow plugin.

Maybe "Mac OS X 10.5.7 Combo" could fix the issue as they improved the nVidia support

http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_7_Combo_Update

(don't use the Software update from the Apple menu, but download it manually)

So, is the issue with the video functionality, or the Slideshow plugin? You mentioned using a smaller picture, but doesn't that speak to the slideshow plugin, rather than video in general. I just want to make sure I know how to approach this.

Also, I have Mac specifications as defined by the site here, so I guess I don't know how my machine doesn't have what it needs in order to run video.

I've had a similar problem with slide show but no problems whatever using clipbank or using regular music video. I use clipbank and just looop the video for when I am playing mp3. I also highly recommend DJ Cel's new Pandoras Box plugin. I just have a jpeg logo running with Pandora effect. It looks great and my boss loved it.

I downloaded the Pandora plugin, but I can't see any place to point the plugin to a jpg file for audio only files...

anyone with any ideas?
