What about adding an icon or line of text to indicate what platform users are using. This would help newer users direct questions at the right people.
For example i use both OSX and Windows.
But others might use just Windows or just Mac.
Just an idea.......

I link my request to this topic.
What about adding information on the nationality of the user?
I mean when you put the pointer on the flag, it should display the user's country. There are too my flags I don't know flags such a Lithuania, Latvia, Turkmenistan ad so on; I can bet on it most of us don't know those.
What do you think?
@ djtouchdan:
+1.
This allows skilled users to understand which one OS the user is using and this is useful to help that one.

nice idea dan.
@sischo
when i originally asked for this i had also requested to have the country name and region/county added, it was better implemented in the radio forums just haven't got round to doing it in the main forums yet, although it was suggested that it would be,
stuck on origin of a flag look in my blog i put a world recognition flag map there and in the wiki to help with that problem, actually they used it for the flags you see on the forums.
sample from radio forums

Hijackers....
<< THORWING TOYS OVER FORUM FLOOR>>

Can a mod change the name of the thread to: "ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON PROFILES AND FORUMS"
Like the idea about the flags/countries to.

Oops...sorry sischo...missed that initially....my speed reading isn't working as well today! :-)
Looks like Dan's request for a thread title change has been done, so the forum stuff looks more at home here now. (Thanks Dan!)
