VDJ just closed up like I had clicked the X. This was in the middle of a song playing live. When I doubled clicked the icon to get it up and running again the sound would not play. I had been using TCV cd with a maya 44 II pci and I had to drop back to the basic(top of the list) and finish out the night.

Yeah- sad to say that I have expierieced the crash as well. I thought it might be due to my setting....but no. Didn't want to say anything and Quietly switch over to Serato...but since someone expierienced it i might as well say it. MY SHIT CRASHED AND I'M MAD DISSAPOINTED.

why even bother posting? I'm going to post links to every thread posted on this crash issue.
I'm thinking its one of the following reasons
1. too lazy to search the board for users having the Exact same problem
2. They were negelcted by their parents and its a desperate plea for attention
3. They have nothing better to do.
Having said that here it is all the links to the posts with this issue

It looks like Cyderhouse just had enough of it. It looks just like my post in the dutch forum
http://www.virtualdj.com/forum/display.html?topic=11572
I know it is hard when you have problems. Especially if you are dependent of the software. But I agree also with Cyderhouse that multiple posts of the same problem will not just solve it.
Please hang tight and hopefully the 2.11 update will not take 6 months again.

Posting in the wrong forum isn't proper, but maybe they are posting to put some emphasis on getting the patch out quickly rather than be the first to discover it? It's a little frustrating to be told that a problem as serious as a CTD is fixed and not being given the patch to correct it.

remember for every 1 person having this problem 50 are not. It only effects users of tcv under heavy scratching durring the start of a song.
http://www.virtualdj.com/forum/display.html?topic=12546
the same could be said that scratching the start of a song is cheating because you couldn't get the tracks lined up before the other song ran out.
Its addressed and corrected in the new version.

It's not just TCV. I can verify that it also happens with XP10's. I would imagine it is a problem with all the external hardware controllers, but only the XP10 and TCV users are scratching enough to bring it to light.

You just a flat out Jackass Cyderhouse. You want to have a battle? I'll eat your head. I'm mad pissed cause these people told me it was gonna get fixed in THIS update...but no- LETS DO VIDEO MIXING! WOOHOO. Most of these crackheads on this site have never, and WILL never play out anyway, so whats the use of putting in video mixing? Nada. Peace out to everyone here- I'll be switching to Serato unless this NEW update can be realeased quite soon- if not You all have fun doing your...."DJing"
Posté Fri 20 May 05 @ 7:24 pm
heeeey.... calm down my friend Technical ;) hehe
the REASON for it not being fixed in THIS release is ONLY because the problem was not 100% solved yet! A lot of fixes where made, to solve the problem, like "anti-crash" for plugins and more...
But having problems reproducing the error, it was not 100% solved for this release..
But that does not mean it was not worked on.. it was!
Not before Anewsome and Dev Team had WHOLE night together was the problem 100% solved... Anewsome could reproduce the crash in the new version, so it was finaly fixed 100%...
And it will be released as a fix really soon :) so no worries...

wow
Technical, I see you know so much about me never mind I have a mobile dj company and a regular nite club gig. That's beside the point. Why would I need to prove myself to you or anyone for that matter, its just not that important to me. I'm not going to sit here and beg you to stay here like you are Gods gift to djing. The truth is we should support the dev teams efforts number one. They are hard at work bringing us the new version and to be understanding. This "crackhead" can show a little respect, can you?

Can we please use this forum for the improvement of VDJ and not as a place to let out our daily frustrations?
TechnicalDJ has created and posted 4 videos to help users and promote VDJ.
He deserves better than to be mocked an insulted by a VIP member for pointing out a bug.
(even if it was pointed out by a few other people. That's what forum moderators are for: to move all similar posts into the same thread.)
Insulting users won't make this a better or more popular software.
Working as a community will.

why not just release a beta of the fix now? if it fixes it for some more people fine, and for those STILL having the issue wait for the full update. As for a battle i think i'd love to hear one on the radio here.

Yes! Everyone has the right to express their opinion here. 99% of the time these opinions are valid and often helpful to others. Unfortunately, every once in a while someones opinion or conclusion, or observation will seem to rub someone the wrong way. However as often as not it wasn't exactly the opinion, or conclusion, or observation the was the cause, but the words chosen to express it. This forum circumvents this entire planet. Sometimes language is the problem. Someone may use a word or phrase that doesn't translate to the readers language exactly right. Even within the same country or within the same language, words and phrases can vary by region.
The best thing is to try to be clear when typing, try to avoid slang, and when reading what someone else has posted try to understand it from their frame of reference.
You have to keep a steady frame of mind sometimes when looking through these pages. There are people here from pre teen, to retirement age. We all can irritate others from time to time. Sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. :-)
If I am trying to piss someone off and it works.. then I won LOL
If I am not trying to piss someone off, and they get pissed anyway, well... that'd piss me off.
So, the best thing is to not get angry at each other, and let's just keep learning from each other.

TechnicalDJ,
don't give up on VDJ. You are here long enough to know that VDJ has the most features, however you don't like some of them.
If you just look at wishlist on the forum of Serato. You will see an enormous list with wishes for future upgrades (Yes Video mixing is there also on the list). Most of that list is already available in VDJ...
Just my 2 cents
