What is the dealeo?
Yup the video is better, but getting stuck with this default "paint shop" skin makes for uneasy going when you are used to a certain lay out.
Personally I have been using the cdj700 blue skin for ever it seems, and now there is a wrench in the works.
WE NEED OPTIONS NOT RESTRICTIONS
It's downright uncomfortable to be forced into using something different on the spot with gigs lined up and no options.
WHY?
I have had major battles over logo splashes with the labels and promos, it's getting worse even on TV.
Will we have options on this? Because the way it is now I would consider sticking with 2.10 for the reasons I have outlined above.
Sure hope this is corrected soon, gigs don't wait and my comfort zone has evaporated.

It's mainly about the skin Cel, the logo I can ignore and keep on truckin'.
But without a skin that supports the monitor I am so screwed.
Skins will take more than a couple of days I would guess, no?
Just kind of a spot to be in, that's all.
I'm sure it is all for the better eventually, but right now it's a problem.
If nobody said nothing, the impression would be skewed from users to development.
Hoping for the best possible remedy.

Skin that supports monitor?
For video?
There is a seperate monitor also (seperate window), so you can use any skin you like, and still mix video.
But, of course, when the skin implemented monitor is added to more skins, that will be nice :)

Well that changes everything.
I was using it on my back up last night and realized the monitor was build into the skin now.
Tonight is the big test on my gig machine, I can live with the seperate window for the monitor.
Long day yesterday, wished I had more time to spend on it, but this popped up in my face right off.
Thanks, i'll be watching for the good word on this.

Exceptional improvement on the video output quality.
That skin is gawd awful guys, i've said it before so I won't say it again.....oops I did......
The problem is that the 1-4 video transition buttons are solely supported with the 3.0 default skin.
I don't care for the "cut, zoom or cube" honestly, the interaction between the videos is lost when layering them.
If I had a way to default the transition to the alpha, i'd be good with it using my Pioneer skin.
Is there a way to do this?
Any idea on how soon skins will come for this version?

Well I'm working on a skin but I ran into a road block with it some I'm waiting for help from a fellow skinner. We'll see. New skins take time that's not the fault of the dev team. I have a day job too :) so for now use the popup window.

There's no reason why you can't work on this skin while you are at work Jason.

I cant seem to get the monitor window to open up with the 700 skin at all.
When I create the short cut for "video open" I get a video driver error.

anybody else have a problem of the video slowing down if you monitor video channel one or two only whilst playing that same channel out ? Not a biggie, just a tiny and, probably, easily sorted niggle.

john thats a known issue when you use hardware mode. I don't think its a big deal previewing whats on the screen already lol
