Hello del200,

I have tested on a Mac and on Windows:
- on my Mac, in Mac OS 10.5.5, VirtualDJ 6.1 Pro + Spin (map built in VirtualDJ), everything runs OK
- on Windows XP, VirtualDJ 6.1 Pro + Spin (map built in VirtualDJ), the output channel for master and preview is just deck A + deck B, regardless of the position of the crossfader.

Hey thanks for the reply, but i cant make sense of the midi thing, do i have to make my own map? or is there one available for the typhoon, my audion set up is fine.

When i plug in the typhoon, random lights light up on the unit and i get no interface control at all

thanks again

What Cioce wanted you do was to download and run the following application:

http://www.virtualdj.com/download/miditrace.exe

In the two boxes on the left hand side, select the Typhoon (which will probably be seen as USB Audio device)

Next , click the SEND button at the top.

This will display some numbers. Copy and post the first line (which should start with F0 7E 7F 06 ...), so Cioce (or someone else) can modify the SPIN mapping to recognize the Typhoon.

Hello Cioce,

You are right, it works in Windows XP with ASIO4ALL (I had disabled the crossfader in option menu, that is why I got only Deck A+Deck B).
Spin + VirtualDJ 6.1 Pro work
- this ASIO4ALL setting

- this Sound Setup

- this Mapper setting (VirtualDJ 6.1 Pro defaut map for Spin).

The Vestax Typhoon support is being worked on by the manufacture. When they find that it is ready ... then we will make it available for download.

Hi again folks thanks for replies,

Any idea on a timescale for this control being operational?

Thanks again.

Yup and to confirm the vestax asio works good thru it, even without control haha

Hello

I get the just not down with the mapping itself, can someone write one for the Typhoon?
it goes with VDJ 6 ... it only lights up the cue button nothing else.
With the tractor makes the mix for me no fun ... I find virtual dj every time better!

thank you

Im glad to hear that I'm not the only who thinks the Virtual DJ is a better choice thank Traktor.....

I just bought my Vestax Typhoon 3 days ago, and already Im looking for a better solution. Lucky for me I had a friend show me the difference that the Virtual DJ software made on his Ion Discover DJ, and I'm sold.

So I sit here asking the same question that seems to be on a lot of peoples minds.
1. Does Virtual DJ support the Vestax Typhoon unit?
2. Are my only options to buy the Pro version?
3. Does the demo version also support the Vestax Typhoon, so that I can give it a whirl before spending some cash?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help,

1. The Vestax Typhoon is not supported yet, but should be soon.

2. VirtualDJ Pro is required to use MIDI controllers.

3. A future version of the demo will support the Typhoon, once support has been added.
