I very much like the new batch edit in version 7 but it would be much improved if it could also batch edit the genre field.
Any plans to do this?

What you ask is already possible.
Select your tracks -> File info -> edit the genre field -> press apply all
Select your tracks -> File info -> edit the genre field -> press apply all

OK, I was wary of using that, because it seemed that it would change all of the fields, and not just the 1 field that I wanted to change
