Sujet: Hercules RMX: Fader not working.

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

Can someone help me out here please.

First the gear:

Macbook Pro 17"
Virtual DJ Pro 6.1
Hercules RMX

The Problem:

The fader does not work. I have been able to download the Mac driver from the Hercules website. And everything is working. The fader however, might as well not be there. I see it moving on VDJ, but it does not do anything. Both deck plays out of the main. In order to mix I use the volume control for each line. Have tried various configs including external mixer setting. Nothing seems to work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

For Sound Setup, configure as follow:

- Input : None

- Output(s): Headphone > Master Chan1/2 / headphone Chan3/4

-Soundcard: DJ Console Rmx

This is the basic audio configuration. Your main mix comes out of Output 1/2 and preview from the headphone (same signal as Output 3/4).

DJ Phatso, thank you for the response.

That is how I have it configured. Yet, when I put the fader to deck a, you still hear deck b and vice versa. Maybe I got a bum unit?

This is what you hear from your speakers (connected to Output 1/2 of the Rmx) or your headphone ?

If from the headphone, be sure that the Monitor knob is in the Cue position.

The headphone and cueiing is fine. I hear through headphone what I have as PFL and can manipulate volume and cue as normal

It's the cross fader that seem to not be working. When I have the cross fader to deck a, I can hear deck b out of the main (speakers) also and vice versa. It's as if the fader is dead center even though its not.

Maybe the configuration related to the crossfader is wrong. Have you tried doing a reset of the controller mapping in the Mapper tab of the VDJ configuration ?

Otherwise, let's also make sure it,s not a hardware problem. Make sure the crossfader is working properly outside of VDJ using this procedure:

Make Sure It Not Disabled In The Options Setting.

Well crap, I knew it was something simple I was overlooking. That was the problem.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help and hope I can return the favor someday.

This is exactly my set up in VDJ
Now I want to pre listen on my RMX and have the main sound on my Imac.
Headphones pre listen won't work, tried everything.

Cue select is on Blue on the deck I want to pre-listen from.

My crossfader is doing weird things, it keeps on moving from the left to the right about 1cm and when i put it in the middle on my hercules dj control instinct it displays it way more to the left
Please help!!
