Sujet Sample Manager............. - Page: 3

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

This is important:

* Elastic grid. Helps samples stay in sync.
* Selectable/removable PFL for samples. Samples in the headphones can be a pain.

This can wait:

* Drag and drop samples. It would be nice, but not crucial.
* 16 sampler patches. I would settle for 8, 4 less than now.
Just as long as we had multiple/assignable banks that we could also name. At least 4 or 5 banks for samples.

Huey, come on now. This is asking a bit much, bro:

* Apply effects to samples.
* Record Line In and Mic to samples.

That stuff would be great, but it's not as important as some other stuff, IMHO.

I like where the sampler is now. I don't want it moved. By going to 8 sampler positions, there would be more room for the controls for each sampler. This way no more right clicking for options and loading.

I know we have 99 possible decks, but that's got to get confusing managing so many decks, especially just for sampler use. Sampler use should be intuitive and effortless.

Playing tracks on the other hand takes concentration: i.e. beat-matching, looping, scratching, beat juggling, track selection, etc.

This is why you don't want to be loading samples into 99 decks.

Sampler should only be for 3 things:

1) novelty one-shot samples (DJ drops, witch laughs, wolf howls, lasers, robots, explosions etc),
2) drum kits.
3) loops.

That's it.

The functionality, looks and ergonomics of the Sampler should be the same as a standalone hardware sampler.
For example an MPC 2000. No more, no less.

Not 99 Technics 1200s, just to play samples.

Just my 2c.
