Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if there's a way to configure the "beat" parameter on the Echo Doppler effect without using the laptop. More specifically, I've assigned a button to activate the effect but it would be extra handy to have that same button sync the effect to the beat.
Right now wht I have to do is go into the effects tab, click on "Echo Doppler" then click on "Beat".
Thanks.

You can use a VDJscript command such as:
to choose the beat synch to a full beat from any of your keyboards or controllers, when you activate or deactivate it.
effect "EchoDoppler" active & effect button 2
to choose the beat synch to a full beat from any of your keyboards or controllers, when you activate or deactivate it.

Will absolutely try that!
Just wondering because I'm learning programming (c++, c#), how does it know which parameter, beat or 1/2 beat?

That isn't a matter of C++/C# (and, they need YEARS to be mastered by newbies), just change the button number in the VDJscript string :D

Yup, unless the plugin has it's own GUI.

Yup, and some embedded GUIs like ScrollText and Text2D.
It is possible for plugin developers to implement the button control still with a custom GUI, but not all do.

It worked! Only Thing that was a bit confusing is that the sliders don't move to reflect the beat/half beat as they do with the mouse but it's no big deal.

I know, but that effect has been made for manual echo length changes, and with a non-linear slider it is much easier to "warp" the sound by hand, and sounds much better ;-)
