Sujet code a loop variation for dump

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I think it would be cool, if you could do something like this

down ? loop_dump_in 1/8 : loop_dump_out

When the button is pressed it would stutter the track, but when you released it, it would continue playing as if nothing happened, you could probably use different loop lengths on different buttons for some extra glitch, or just map a shift for the jogs so it works with a touchwheel.

For the dump I assume it writes somewhere when it is initiated, then refers back to the start point and the time passed to know where to re-enter the track, if we could code both the in and out separately it could be fun to play with.

It would also be a lot easier and less cpu intensive to do a real slip mode using the same principal as above, but just dump_in/out.

What do you think, is something like this possible for a future update?

What you seek is similar to slip mode that some new Pioneers CDJs have. I have tried to simulate that Slip mode, see more here.

An internal software Slip Mode feature of course would be much easier and sources saver.

I tried it your slipmode way, but It uses too much cpu having to load three tracks in a very short space of time.
