So after 4 years with my trusty old Mac Book Pro, I updated to a brand new one which came with Mountain Lion. I go to Virtual DJ, download the 7.2 version that is in downloads - and get the missing skin error. For about an hour, I tried every fix on the site - clean reinstall, appdelete, delete the plist, put virtualdj folder in Library, redownloaded it from the recommended link, etc ..
Finally, I said screw it and grabbed the 7.0.5 pkg from the old Mac Book Pro. Bam - a minute later - I am in Cue and ready to get started.
Suggestion to VDJ people - put the 7.0.5 install back into place because the 7.2 Cue download doesn't work in Mountain Lion.
Or is there something I am missing?

I solved the problem. I paid $50 and got the crossgrade to Virtual DJ (away from Cue.) Virtual DJ is at 7.3 - which worked perfectly for me. Installed VDJ and it was running in a minute - with no screen errors/crashes.
Lesson - if you are on Cue, upgrade to VDJ to get working updates.
