Hoping to use VirtualDJ for DJing at Argentine Tango events, which I do weekly.
Downloaded and installed with no problem. Can search my library and play tracks.
Previewing is not working at all.
My set up is playing out of my Macbook Air laptop. I have a Logitech USB sound card for previewing through headphones.
Went into "Config", chose "Headphones - dual soundcards" and I get a steady beat of static out of the main output.
Also when I right click on tracks in the search list there is no "Preview" option as shown in the user manual.
I'm on OS 10.8.2. It's a two month old laptop with plenty of RAM, hard drive space, etc.
I have no problem previewing using the USB sound card and headphones using additional audio software such as Cog.
Sigh, Virtual DJ tuns out to be very complicated... was hoping for something simple, especially with such basic functions as previewing...

If you are being paid for these events then you will need to purchase VirtualDJ. Home FREE is for non-commercial use at home only and cannot be used at gigs where you are being paid.
Using two sound cards will give you issues if each card has different settings to each other (Bitrate, latency, etc.) Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Distortion%20when%20using%20two%20sound%20cards.html
