I purchased some sound effects from the same place I get mp3 from.(mp3 app on my phone). Song transfer fine but the sound effects won\'t play on WMP. I get this error below. Thing is they don\'t even show up in VDJ. Some samples I downloaded from here also give me this error. Is it something I have to update on my pc? I have Windows 7. Thanks...

Where do they come from? What format are they in?
It's possible that they're recorded in something other than 44.1khz 16 bit (CD standard).
If they're 48khz/96khz/192khz or 24 bit, or even 32 bit then that could be the issue.
You'll either need to convert them down or use s/w that can handle that file type.

I bought from the same place I get my music. Through the amazon mp3 app on android phone. I never had any problems with any songs. As a far as I know they are all mp3 format. One is 233Kbps and the other is 141Kbps. They do play on my phone though.
Either way, I never converted bit rates. Could you give a quick rundown on how to tackle this? Thanks
