Sujet VDJ with a single time code Deck

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

If this has already been asked, then Im sorry as my search did not return an answer for me.

I am upgrading my equipment this year. Including a new Macbook pro YAY!

I want to go with virtual dj pro for the Video options, and effects that are non existent on other systems. I also would like to use the time code features that are available.

I have been using serato with the sl2 and one 850 cdj via the input reverse option

1. I would like to continue using my single cdj setup, BUT is there an option/set up in VDJ pro that would allow this WITH video mixing?
2. Would I have control over the video's crossfader from my mixer? If not... what set up would be needed to achieve this?
***Scratching is a must so please do not suggest a controller, IF it does not have realistic scratching capabilities***

Im looking at the American Audio DV2 USB mixer because its crossfader does send a midi signal.

Its important that any setup/solution involves video mixing, because that is the single reason that I am going with VDJ pro.

When using a single CDJ-850 as a HID controller with VirtualDJ, you can simply press the EJECT button to toggle it between the 2 decks (Or all 4 decks if you are using a 4 deck skin.)

The DV2 is a MIDI capable mixer, so all you need to do is map its crossfader to video_crossfader to allow you to control the video crossfader in VirtualDJ. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/How%20do%20I%20map%20my%20MIDI%20controller.html

NOTE: When using a real hardware mixer, you should not map the EQ knobs, volume, etc. Just map the crossfader only for video crossfading. Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/MIDI%20mapping%20an%20external%20DJ%20mixer.html
