Hi, i'm also in a research for building my own controller.
What i can understand is where are the buttons.
I see in your videos that when you touch the cd the music
stops (hold function)
Is there a micro-switch under the cd ?

it's the new function that i sold an part of button at the washer and another part at an metal under the whaser. When you press down, the washer take contact with the metal.
