In the center of the standard skin where it has the tabs for mixer, video, scratch - I feel we would all benefit from having a notepad tab where we can just write stuff. I have been minimizing the program for years just to make notes :-)
If someone walks up for example and says dedicate we are family to grandpa Lisa, I would just click notepad and type some notes.
What do you think?

You could use browser comments with a comments text zone for that
Scenario
"Do you have any Elvis?"
*Search*
"Yes I do, I have these......"
"Could I have that one dedicated to granddad from lisa"
*Open 'edit comments' types dedication, puts track into playlist*
When the track gets put on a deck the comments are there visible to see
"Love me tender dedicated to granddad from lisa, hold on something ain't right there."

A separate balloon text zone to open up for quick notes by the deck when there is a note attached to that file, something like "Posted Notes" that pop up...
