Sujet: video question

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I have never used the video, and i am trying it out with a few mp4's i have, works great, so my question is, is there a way to set the screen to display something besides a black screen if you play a mp3 file, if I want to jump between mp4's and mp3's. Thanks

There was sonique in previous versions and sbdj was working on a milkdrop plugin a few years ago, I'm not sure if that project was ever finished.
Or if either of these options are compatible with V8.
What I am sure of there be a backlog in the plugin, skins dept.

I was using the sonique plugin tonight. I did not try it as the default with mo3's. It worked fine with just the plugin activated.

Sonique works absolutely fine in 8 just works a little different. As of right now the only way to change the visual to a different one is through options. The team is aware of this and hopefully down the road you will see timed sonique visual changes. To make them work you need to create a Visualisation folder in documents/virtualdj/plugins. Then in VDJ options set the audio only to one of the sonique files, here is where you can change them while live, but as of now they wont change themselves.

what Audio options ?
I don't see the Sonique Plug-in in my Videoeffect list.

This could be done in the config.
Not on the skin.

Ooh pretty!

I think SBDJ said it was on the way.

"when it's ready" :-)

Thanks :)

It won't install. Well, says it does but cannot find the dll.

I had to install/extract on another pc then copy the file over.

In VDJ go to options, make sure Advanced Options is checked. Scroll down to +Video and open that up. Scroll down to "videoAudioOnlyVisualisations" and click on it to the right. This should give you a list of the soniques you put into the folder that was mentioned above. Just click on one of them and it should show when VDJ is playing a mp3.

Note, as Scott has said above he got his Milkdrop done and it is BETTER and switches between them so that is what I would go with.
