OK I use an external drive for my music. I need to possibly reformat my laptop and need to know if all the databases, directories, file info etc are contained on the external drive or on the laptop or both. If not what should I save to ensure all the music info and settings are still there when everything is re-installed.

The music database should be on your external, but things like your history, skins, mappers, all that stuff is on your computer. Copy the contents of my documents/virtualdj to your external so you can put it back later!

Yes, Sherz is right.
The one small change is the Database.xml file is now stored in a VirtualDJ folder on all drives (in.c external). Rather than being loose in the drive.
