logged into my second computer (XP sp3) logged in and downloaded VDJ8 install:
Got the....
"VirtualDJ has encountered a problem and needs to close"
Error signature
AppName virtualdj8.exe AppVer: 8.0.0.1785 Modname: virtualdj8.exe
ModVer 8.0.0.1785 Offset 0034eac0
Exception Information
Code 0xc0000000000000000 Address: 0x000000000074eac0
Reinstall twice still the same result, runs 7.4.1 audio fine, not suitable for video although does work .... just
So where to from here???

windows XP SP3 is indeed our minimum requirement, however you need to make sure that all your hardware have up-to-date drivers along with your Operating system as well.
We are not quite sure if Windows XP will be supported in a next major update, so yes i would expect some issues there. Keep in mind that even Microsoft has dumped Windows XP, so consider updating to Win7
