All,
I know that Atomix advised to change the SkinFPS from 30 > 20, which I did and it appears that the heat issue is no longer an issue for me. Are you all seeing the same thing? (I haven't used VDJ8 longer than 2 hours at a clip yet and would hate to have a problem at an upcoming 6 hour event.)
Thoughts?

I reduced the frame rate, it did indeed help the heat issue, but then it started freezing and running at over 100%... Like 140% (obv impossible) and started crackling and crashing. If I were you, for a six hour gig, use 7.4.1 for now.

i noticed high usage when video is on but i close video window i got 100% cpu
try disable and then reenable video, so video window reopens
this lowered cpu back to normal for me.
i can disable video and it is okay too.

I notice when i move the song to the side mix the cpu heat up really fast and cpu going to 120+%
