hello,
I have great difficulty in mapping certain functions, including the sampler.
are you already a list of verbs for the V8 ?

All the verbs for mapping you can see in the software.
Is there something in particular you were looking?

there are many scripts that do not work correctly. For example:
sampler_mode ' hold' & 1 sampler_pad
sampler_mode ' on / off' & 1 sampler_pad
sampler_mode ' stutter ' & 1 sampler_pad
sampler_mode 'unmute ' & 1 sampler_pad
unmute mode does not work and there is no different between the on/off mode and stutter (whereas in VDJ there has one)
The map VDJ offers the sample_loop mode but it does not work either.
To select a bank map , you must enter :
sampler_bank "AUDIO FX"
sampler_bank "INSTRUMENTS"
must replace the " by " otherwise the file. xml bug.
At last but I doubt there is a solution, in mapping it is impossible to turn on a LED for a sample that runs in hold mode (for example) and another led to another sample that runs stutter mode. (if I want play 2 sample simultaneously)
No way to differentiate it by script
(I use a Launchpad so I 64 buttons that I want to map the sampler and optenir something like Ableton )
Ideally the sample 1 will be named Hold 1A, 1B stutter, 1C on / off etc ...
sampler_mode ' hold' & 1 sampler_pad

sampler_mode ' stutter ' & 1 sampler_pad
sampler_mode 'unmute ' & 1 sampler_pad

Don't writ the name but the number (0=on/off, 1=hold, 2=stutter & 3=unmute)
So it's mean for "hold" : sampler_mode 1
then : sampler_mode 1 & sampler_pad 1
help between french

The sampler mode (using either the sampler_mode action or the button from the skin), applies to all the samples of the bank (except from the ones that are part of specific group). If you wish some samples to have different mode than others, then you need to put them in a different bank.
Alternatively, you can group some samples that you need to trigger in a specific mode (e.g. hold), and then use the sampler_mode action to change the behavior of the rest of the samples (not assigned to a group)

thank you Juan, now unmute mode works!
I understood that, and that is what is problematic for mapping !
If I move the samples in different banks, when I change my PC (I work 2 PC sono) or for other users it will not work !
remains the problem of the loop_mode, the " and the LEDs mapping

Hi there!
I'm new to posting on forums really so I'm not sure if this post is in the right place. I'm having trouble writing a mapper in VDJ8, I am converting an old VDJ 7 map but I'm not having much luck. If I attach my map file would it be possible for somebody to have a look at it please?
Kind Regards
Julian
