I just upgraded to v8 on my ddj ergo and the eq knobs don't function(hi,med,low) at all

You dont see the knobs moving on the screen when u turn the knobs from the Ergo ?
If you are trying to listen through your headphones only, then maybe you need to change the EqInHeadphones setting to Yes
or if you expect the EQ knobs to "kill" the sound at 0%, then maybe the setting EqMode set to Kill may help you.

both settings are available in Config->OPTIONS tab (enable the Show Advanced Options) and use the Search bar to find them.
