I'm noticing a substantial increase in CPU usage when using VDJ 8 in HID Mode with the CDJs. I have my latency set to 256 in ASIO settings which my system being an i5 with 6GB of RAM should be able to handle. No processes running as the laptop is tuned for djing. The laptop heats up to the point of shutdown. I'm on 1855 but it did the same on 1845

Decided to give V8 (1872) a run at work tonight with 2 x CDJ2000 (fmw 4.32) and a DJM850.
Had exactly the same problem as described above. CPU usage shot up to 60-85%
Went back to v7 and cpu back down to 5-30%
Also noticed that there was no feedback from the CDJ display. Didn't scroll through tracks or show the waveform. Using the track scroll knob it moved through the library on the pc but not on the screen of the CDJ.

Dj Sky, did you manage to work out why your cpu usage was so high?
