Sujet Is virtual dj 8 a good match with a mac and pioneer xdj-r1

Hi Guys

I recently started a new residency and they have a pioneer xdj r1 ( not ideal or my choice)

does the vdj 8 give seemless out the box compatibility or should I use 7.41?
