Sujet DENON devices don't like to play together?

I am attempting to run VDJ 7.4 with a DENON SC3900 (hybrid MIDI) and the DENON MC6000. If I can get them to behave nicely together I would like to get a second SC3900. I need the vinyl feel of the SC3900s but I want control of 4 decks. How do I accomplish this with a laptop running Windows 8.1 OS?
