I've tried many diff ways to have vdj 8 record my mixes, but I haven't gotten anywhere with it. I'm using an hp pavilion dv6 running windows 7 and my controller is a pioneer djm 900 nexus w/ 2 cdj 2000's. I've run an rca out from the Rec Out on the mixer straight into the mic input on the laptop. It recognizes the mic when I hit record, but when I play it back, there isn't anything playing! !
My settings are:
Deck 1: DJM900 NEXUS ASIO: Chan 1 & 2
Deck 2: DJM900 NEXUS ASIO: Chan 3 & 4
Record: EXTERNAL MIC

That description is for v7 but it applys for v8 too.
