Thought I'd give version 8 one more try tonight on a fresh install, and the download for the latest build from this site is taking over 9 minutes for 35mb.
Edit ..... it's got slower and the time remaining is going up. Yawn!
Great impression for new customers, especially when V7 used to download in seconds.

It took me 28 seconds, maybe a neighbour is stealing your wifi.

Thought of that but it's pretty secure, and downloads from other sites were working fine!

We (some german users) had the same problem a couple of months ago.
VDJ download was really really slow, other websites were fine.
For other users, from other countries or counties it worked fast and fine.
Seemed to be just a local problem and/or provider issue. We, who had the slow connection, use the same ISP..

Atomix doesn't deliver the content from a CDN. It looks like they have a single AWS server or two which delivers content from a single location.
Looks like they are currently serving the content from the AWS Edge connection in Seattle. The connection latency from this location to your location has a massive impact on your download speed.
