So i just powered up vdj8 and instead of the usual auto update it has downloaded the install file to my downloads on my mac. I take it it has done this because of this " default 4deck skin can show 3 fx slots per deck (need a full INSTALL, autoupdate will not update the skin)".
My question is this do i have to uninstall my current version before i load this. I'm almost certain i don't but no harm in asking and as everything seems to be running so well at the moment i don't want to screw it up.

There was a bug in 1897 (and probably to earlier builds), so the auto-update would not work with 1910. Just for this build (and only to Mac version), instead of auto-updating, it will download the installer file.
Even if its safe to install the new build, i would still suggest to at least backup your music library file/folders before installation (its common sense to backup your databases of course, but just in case you have not done this)
