you can't, you need to change this command in the xml file

No. It's working on Win.
Action is
setting "hideSongInfo"
Tested it myself, works.
So, seems to be a Mac bug.

@Scorchin try use this on a custom button
setting "RPM" 10
does it slow the platter's RPM? (Just trying to work out if it's all settings that macs struggle with or just Hide)

The real option doesn't have caps in the word "hide". Options are case sensitive.

@ fruit, they're not, at least they aren't here, HIDESONGINFO|hidesonginfo|HiDeSoNgInFo all work.
(I don't know why options are piggyback spaced but I kind of like it) #totalNerd

Right, my bad.

setting 'HideSongInfo' action assigned to keyboard, controller and custom buttons works fine on Mac as well (and not case sensitive either)

Please pay attention, that there is no "s" in this setting-script.
There are these two actions "settings" and "setting" but for this script the one without the S is needed.
So like above: setting "hideSongInfo"

Thanks, got it, I wasn't putting "setting" in the action window before "hideSongInfo"
