Sujet Help preparing an Accapela for a DJ

Ce topic est ancien et peut contenir des informations obselètes ou incorrectes.

I recently released a song and a friend of mine, a DJ, asked if I could provide him the Acappelas so he can use them in a dance mix. I understand a cappella refers to vocals only but I am not a DJ. I have main vocal tracks, backing vocal tracks, and various other vocal samples and all of these have compression and reverb and other effects applied so I am not sure exactly what to send him and how to send it in a way that will make it easiest for him to craft together a mix. Any help is appreciated. - Jesse

It might be a easier to ask your friend to clarify what he wants.

Usually Dj's use the finished accapella - a mastered blend of the main vocals and the back up vocals - but every DJ is different - so just check with your friend of what he really wants, not what we here on the forum suggests that he may want.
