Removing the settings XML means I have to remap everything I have custom again which is bunk in my book.

Actual mappings are not stored in the settings file (only which mapping is selected is stored in there) and so removing it does not remove mappings - you just reselect them.

It was a suggestion to fix his issue. Tbh if you're using beta builds then sometimes you may find you have to do this sort of thing.
Deleting settings.XML in your Documents\VirtualDJ folder, then opening VDJ effectively performs a factory reset. If for some reason VDJ won't open then its worth a try. You can always rename the file rather than delete it.
